Editorial Policy

The purpose of the journal is to create favorable conditions for the development of scientific and public discussion in the field of ethnic policy by highlighting topical issues of interethnic relations.

Journal tasks:

• Involvement of scientific researchers, domestic and foreign experts, including members of APK SEC, SEG; assistance in the publication of original high-quality scientific articles.
• Publication of scientific materials on expert assessment of current trends in interethnic relations and forecasting the situation in the field of social harmony.
• Publication of analytical reviews of ongoing events, projects on the subject of interethnic relations aimed at the implementation of state policy.
• Compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in relation to copyright and globally accepted practice provisions on publication ethics;

Thematic areas of the journal:

• Key issues of interethnic relations;
• Issues of development of ethnopolitics;
• Socio-economic problems of ethnic groups;
• Key issues of the history of ethnic groups and ethnic processes;
• Actual problems of modern sociology in the context of the study of ethnic groups.

Publication release schedule:

• № 1 – I quarter;
• № 2 – II quarter;
• № 3 – III quarter;
• № 4 – IV quarter.

Publication terms:

The journal publishes articles that have not previously been published by the author (authors), which correspond to the thematic areas of the journal and are designed strictly according to the requirements for the design of the manuscript. 

To send an article, the author needs to register on the site https://etnosayasat.kz/, and then submit an application through a personal account, providing all the necessary information.

Articles go through three stages of verification before being accepted for publication (see the section "Information for Authors" on the site):

1. check for compliance with the topics and requirements of the journal;
2. check for plagiarism and unfair borrowing;
3. review.

Publication is free of charge.

Review type:

All articles are double-blind reviewed.

Archiving and Availability:

All articles accepted for publication are posted on the journal's website at https://etnosayasat.kz/ru/articles/current/, and in indexed databases. Access to the archive in the public domain is free of charge. The archive of published numbers is in the appropriate section of the official website. DOI is assigned to published articles in journal issues.

Publication ethics:

The editorial board is guided by the international ethical rules of scientific publications, including the concept of decency, confidentiality, supervision of publications and prevention of possible conflicts of interest, etc.

Compliance with the rules of ethics of scientific publications by all participants in the publishing process helps to ensure the rights of authors for intellectual property, to improve the quality of publications and prevent the possibility of misuse of copyright materials in the interests of individuals in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Copyright and Related Rights”
